The Waterloo British Car Club is located in Waterloo Region, Ontario, Canada, and serves British car enthusiasts from around central southwestern Ontario. Check out Cars in our Club and Members & their Cars to see the range of cars (and people) who are members of the club.
In 2019 we are celebrating our 20th year as a club. Here’s a video that was shown at our anniversary celebration in March.
The club meets at 5:30 pm on the second Tuesday of every month for a pub night at Kennedy’s Restaurant in St Agatha. It’s all pretty informal: food, drink, conversation with fellow enthusiasts. When the weather’s good, we bring our cars to the pub and have an informal show in the parking lot.
Periodically, one of our members organizes an event—a run, a party, a convoy to a car show, an evening at the theatre or a concert—and everybody’s invited. For information on upcoming events that members will be participating in, see Events. To see photographs of recent events, check out the pages under Photos.
This is a club with no executive positions, annual general meetings, or membership fees. It’s organized (loosely) by volunteers, and it’s funded completely by monthly 50/50 draws.
Recently, a group of club members investigated the need for club liability insure, wither at an overall level or for specific events. The conclusion is that the nature of our club means that none is required at the club level. Each club member should ensure they have sufficient insurance.
